Gorillaz share new song "Hallelujah Money"

Gorillaz have released a surprise new track "Hallelujah Money" exclusively on UPROXX's YouTube channel. The politically-charged song features Mercury Prize winner Benjamin Clementine on the main vocals and a gospel choir.

Murdoc introduced the track on the band's Facebook: "In these dark times, we all need someone to look up to. Me. That's why I'm giving you this new Gorillaz song, a lightning bolt of truth in a black night. You're welcome. Now piss on! The new album's not gonna write itself."

According to UPROXX, the song is "the first taste of their new record which is coming later this year". Currently, it is not known whether the song will be available to buy digitally or physically before the album release.

The Giorgio Testi-directed promo video of the song features Benjamin Clementine preaching in the elevator of 'Trump Tower'.
