Thanks for that Lumaka, that was a really good listen. Interesting that Damon isn't adverse to hurling abuse at people too!
Re: TGTBTQ: Merrie Land Live Performances Thread
What a fantastic night that was. Damon and the band was on top form and the new sougs sounded brilliant live.
I'll post some photos on here tomorrow evening when I get back to Oxford.

Yep, was an amazing night. One of the best.
Incredible to be at a concert with Damon singing, and to be able to get in the front 3 rows so easily.
At a Gorillaz or Blur gig, it would be a solid 20 deep.
Really enjoyed the new album but the song quality just seemed to soar when the first album was played.
Was as if Merrie Land songs were all 7/10 but GBQ ones were 9 or 10. Might just be that GBQ is so much older and familiar.
The rhythmic and melodic power of Kingdom of Doom was really quite breathtaking. Ironically, the only GBQ song I don't like is the self-titled one. They finished with it which enabled me to make a swift getaway!

Yes I was there for that. Just wondering if they have done something similar this time around.Neal Zeal wrote:I think on a previous tour they might have played Melancholy Hill.stephen wrote:Have the band played any crossover songs yet? I think a couple of Gorillaz songs would fit nicely into the set, without sounding anything like Gorillaz songs.

Wow. I do hope they tour to other places outside of the UK. The new songs sounded excellent last night.
