Ireland in September ????

OTR’s sources are indicating that Blur are heading to Stradbally in September which should take some of the underwhelming look off this year’s Electric Picnic bill (especially given the fee we’ve heard mentioned). Expect official announcement next week and remember where you read it first

Awesome! Let's wait until the official announcement but that looks promising.

Reported by Jim Carroll. He has a hand in organising Electric Picnic. This is as good as a done deal lads! I'm fucking ecstatic! I turn 30 the weekend of the festival! :)

Thanks! I'm really delighted! The Picnic has a Glastonbury kinda vibe, but it's much smaller.

got seat tix for melbourne rod laver.

my god the ticketek website/booking system truly is awful and notably worse than any other experience i've had with high demand ticket purchasing ...
was on the blur tix page at 10am on the dot (f5ing during those last few moments of 9am -9.59am) and the GA tickets were selectable but would give the error message that too many have GA tickets in other peoples baskets atm to proceed.

took me half an hour before the GA tickets were actually sold out and had to resort to seating tickets (which at this point was worse than what i could've got had i just purchased seated tickets at 10am on the dot).

was pretty sour yesterday but little better now. happy to be seeing blur, in the end :)

Sounds like a seriously frustrating experience. We've all been there with crappy sites and panic ticket buying but that sounds bad. Glad you bagged some eventually!
