Most underrated Blur songs

If you could name 3 to 5 Blur songs as the most underrated in the band's discography from your point of view, what would they be?

Personally I have a very good idea:

Me, White Noise (Alternate Version)
As a I said in the Think Tank thread, I absolutely love this track. One of if not the most underrated Blur song out there for me.

Music Is My Radar
The same I could say about this one. It's a phenomenal track, yet nobody seems to give two shits about it, and I don't understand why. It's so unique, funky and catchy. The brilliant instrumentation, Graham's guitar work, the indiscernible vocals, the 'Aah don't stop me now' bits etc. So much good stuff.

Bang
Simple and catchy pop music with some phenomenal guitar riffs. Also, I think promo video is probably the most overlooked Blur video ever.

My Terracotta Heart
For me this is the best song on The Magic Whip, but I'm pretty sure a lot of people don't even consider it as one of the album's highlights. They dismiss it as a solo Damon track that should have been on Everyday Robots. Very diminishing consideration for a song that is simply brilliant in every aspect.

Blue Jeans
Now I might be wrong about this one as I'm not sure what the general consensus is, but the band itself hasn't given it much love over the years. This is in my Blur top 10 favorite songs and it will always remain there. One of the band's very best.

I would have expected Blue Jeans to be in literally everyone's top 10, it's certainly in mine.

And agree about Music Is My Radar; the song that proves Damon could have made the innovation of Gorillaz happen within Blur if he'd have wanted to.

Resigned: This is the song that made me want to buy a melodica, fuck Clint Eastwood! Ever since I was a bairn, the cathartic melancholy has registered with me. I've seen some criticise the seemingly vague lyrics, but I think that's the point. To me they represent meandering post-adolescent life and the inability to choose a direction for yourself before it's too late.

Dancehall: Maybe the most un-Blur sounding thing they've ever done. It's like a wild animal locked in a cage, sure it's pretty to look at when it's docile, but get too close and it will roar and spit.

My Ark: Some people might think it's a bit long, but that guitar riff is so great that the novelty never wears off. Great for air guitaring, just as great for lying on the floor and letting the pretty vocal harmonies envelop you.

Gene By Gene: What is it you lot dislike about this one? The bicycle horn? The fact that it sounds a bit like The Clash? I think the production on it is wonderful (particularly the drum sound) and it's a great tune to sing loudly as you get out of the shower, force 15.

Trailerpark: The unsung hero of 13. It's very different from its live counterpart, which I can understand may be disappointing, but I think the studio version manages to capture this really interesting mix of depression and anxiety that really works for the thesis statement of the album.

I've always loved Mr Briggs so was great to hear that they played it at Hammersmith last week.
And Peach is another favourite B-side of mine that rarely gets mentioned round these parts...

looking at the play counts; bang and chemical world all do fairly well so they're probably not as underrated as I thought, otherwise I would have thrown them in.

maybe 'so you' and 'all we want' should have had a bit more attention given to them, so maybe that's on the band. ' strange new's is always overlooked imho, wouldn't be too far out of place on the ballad album. I thought yuko and hiro was the first glimpse of blur doing something a bit more serious. blue jeans still sounds fresh today. Also special mention to eine kleine lift musik, but again I think that's on the band, wish they had stuck to it a bit more

Damn, I had a hard time putting this list together. I think a lot of songs are underrated. But...here are mine:

Black Book: Their best b-side, in my opinion. Just amazing. Criminally underrated.

Mr Robinson's Quango: I think I'm in the vast minority of people who like this song. I don't get it. I LOVE it. Always have. The slower part with Graham's guitars remind me of a Bond theme. Has that kind of feel to it. Overall a fun track which I've always enjoyed listening to.

It Could Be You: Another one from The Great Escape. This is the first Blur song that I got hooked on after stumbling upon this album in my dad's collection. Infectious guitars. Great lyrics and melody. What's not to like?

High Cool: This really should have been a single instead of Bang. Not that Bang is bad by any means, it's a great track. Just a little repetitive. High Cool has everything. I never really see it mentioned on or off the forum. Probably my favourite track on Leisure.

Ambulance: You read that right. I know the song is loved by majority of members on this forum, but outside of the forum I think it's hugely underrated. One of their best tracks. Maybe my favourite album opener on any Blur album. I'd sure love to hear Graham add his flavour to the song in a live setting. One day, I hope.

Blue Jeans: I 100% agree. While it may not be underrated on the forum, I do think that overall it's hugely underrated. I'd go as far as saying it's in my top 10 favourite Blur songs as well.

I almost put Quango on my list too. That bit when Graham goes nuts at the end is one of my favourite Blur moments.

Underrated is a tough concept to quantify, but I’m always surprised that barely anyone (including Blur) seems to hold He Thought Of Cars in the same high regard as Beetlebum or This Is A Low.

Also agree that the Bang video is quite something, very immediate and capturing night-time London at that time

If I recall, that was supposed to be the single from The Best Of but they went with Music Is My Radar instead.

Gonna go for two The Universal b-sides:

No Monsters In Me - really should have been on TGE - it would have livened up side 1 and been a great counterpart to Globe Alone.

And

Entertain Me (the live it remix) - not usually a fan of sticking remixes in place of proper B-Sides... but 15 year old me in 1995 was blown away by the energy of it, and the different sections - it just keeps going! But it doesn't mangle the song itself.
