I've noticed that a number of (to my mind) big records by important artists have largely fallen off the reviews/round-ups circuit....
I think perhaps people of our generation just have to accept that our favourite artists are just not as bankable or interesting to the mass-market as we'd like them to be... ah well.
Yes I agree, even though 'Polaris' and 'Yoga Town' are great singles and old-style top ten material.

Has this actually released properly yet? I am waiting to listen to it with the accompanying comic book but it seems another release date has just whizzed by with no shipping notification or update to the website...

When was this released? I only just realised yesterday that it's on Spotify! And it's not even listed on the wikipedia entry for his discography.

Well, I"m really liking it anyway. Possibly his best since Love Travels at Illegal Speeds. The vibe/sound reminds me of Blondie at their best.

I still can't figure out how this works. If you buy the book (standard edition, hardcover or softcover), do you also receive the album as a download, or what?

No, vinyl album comes with the book.

The Standard edition (hardback and paperback) are both graphic novel only.

Both Deluxe vesions come with the album on vinyl only.

The album is available for purchase as a download on Amazon (and probably elsewhere too).

Very interested in the album itself, so worth buying on MP3.

But reading the novel is something I would struggle to find time for :x

I just received my deluxe version of this. Somewhat disappointingly it came without any vinyl, and i have been holding off from listening to this until the package arrived.

Seems like Z2 comics would struggle to organise the opportunity to imbibe alcoholic beverages in a venue where they are brewed.

Also just received without the vinyl. Very strange. Communication on this release has been very poor

One of the reasons I decided not to order was the rather ambiguous information. I love the idea of the project and was interested in the deluxe or super deluxe but I couldn't justify it to myself without at least seeing some of the artwork and hearing some of the music. The way it seems to have been handled has put me off even more.

You can see some of the artwork and hear some music before ordering, right? Or you mean some special features exlusive to deluxe or super deluxe version?

Overall, its sad to read all those reports, because album itself is great and it seems poor communication from Z2 comics ruins it for some fans.

Problem was you didn’t know what the Super Deluxe or Deluxe editions would be or why they were better than the standard edition. And this changed since the original pre-orders opened.

Having received the book, I haven’t had time to read it, but it looks like the artists all dashed the work off quickly. It’s obviously far better than anything I could draw but it looks like this was a low paying gig for them and thus “good enough” not as good as possible would do - same sort of quality you’d expect from a weekly comic like the Beano.

I don’t really care about this much; I wanted a physical copy of the album. So far I paid 80 quid or so and didn’t get one. I feel I should have cancelled my order outright and just got a download.
