live streaming of new blur sessions

haha - got you there :) :)

but there was an album where the recording sessions - at least the initial ones - were live streamed. I only have hazy memories of it. I assume it was the early sessions for what became Think Tank - ie pre-Morocco and with Graham still around...

Does anyone else remember, and was this footage captured?

It was the beginning of Think Tank's sessions indeed. But from what I recall it was already in Morocco, and everyone was wondering whether Graham was still onboard. There was this episode when someone on screen was possibly identified as Graham, but then it was said by Dave (?) that it was some sound engineer.
I have no idea whether the footage was ever captured.

It started before Morocco, first episodes (from August 2002) show Studio 13, later the band move to Morocco and then to a barn in Devon (I wonder is it the same barn Damon is using now?). They were in Blur Archive, but it seems that elasticaman has rearranged it a bit lately and I can't find them anymore.

Thanks Ewa :)

I remember vaguely dipping in and out of what must have been the 13 sessions (in the office, while pretending to work... ) but there didn't seem to be much happening as I recall. Am I right in thinking there wasn't any sound?

I think you both have it pretty clear. It was great to see blur in a studio recording. I think for a while the videos were every few days, no sound. Of course the web was very different back then and this little window snippet was more than we could ever imagine and got me very excited for the new album.

Was it Mike Smith the viewers thought was Graham Coxon?

I think Alex's diaries were much more in-depth than the videos but I did find his writing style very hard to read/understand

I think Ben Hillier was the man who everyone assumed was Graham...

I think the barn studio is the same studio where they finished the recording for Think Tank, I think I read somewhere that Damon bought the farm near Hallsands i 96 for the money he earned from a certain hit single...

I remember frantically looking for Graham every time a new one appeared and slowly realising that he just wasn't there anymore. Incredibly depressing at the time...
