Slaves are the best punk band to emerge from the UK in at least 25 years. They're huge Blur fans so this must have been a dream project for them.

The snippet preview for the 16:00 release today does sound promising. But surely releasing songs this way with a video, these songs are all going to need to be catchy enough to be singles, especially with the anticipation between releases and the promotion involved for each. I don't have a problem with this as such as it has been nice to hear new Gorillaz on the radio, but just the quality of the songs continue throughout this process. I hope Damon features heavily on the future tracks, don't really want the whole Humanz thing again.

On a plus, MB was an great start and the guests on the song couldn't have been much better

I guess if they like a particular song they may do more of an official video for it?

Last time I checked Tranz got 42 Million views which isn't bad considering how simple the song is.

Much better than I thought it would be based on the snippet, I can see this growing on me by the listen. The preview of the next song sounds interesting, like the fact they are back to real instruments compared to the majority of Humanz.

Certainly a high quality for the first two songs, if I listened to a new Gorillaz album and these where the first two songs I'd be very excited for the rest, lets hope they keep it up.

This is a great song, another great choice to collaborate with, maybe shouldn’t work but actually does really well. I never thought I’d be into a song that Damon goes from French to English but just sounds natural. I have to say the production quality on both songs hasn’t been this level since maybe Demon Days.

The video is good too, nice to see Damon featuring on these and I like the fact it shows the Magic Whip in the studio.

Let’s hope one of the future collaborators is Graham

Desole and Momentary Bliss capture the spirit of what makes the Gorillaz great more than anything on Humanz and The Now Now.

With a few weeks of hindsight - these have been really good tracks. Momentary Bliss has really grown on me. Could be a challenge to ever perform live though, it depends so much on Slowthai?

The videos have been great too. Do we know how the band is funding this? Are they still in partnership with EMI or is that all over?
