Dr Dee, underappreciated?

Seems to have been forgotten about, and it's not on Spotify which is sad.
Dr Dee is simplistic and sounds like what it was meant to sound like 'victorian engish music?'

Beautiful vocals from Damon, relaxing tunes. Not over produced like some everday robots or Now Now. This is a true solo record and should be appreciated as much as the others!

I do think it could be a bit underappreciated. I think Apple Carts and O Spirit Animate Us are amazing tunes. Very haunting and beautiful. However, I am not sure I consider it a true solo album, per se, as I view Everyday Robots as Damon's official solo debut. Of course, there is an argument for Dr. Dee or even Democrazy being his first(s).

I think it's better than Everyday Robots.

I dunno... Its OK but its a bit 'Damon the artist' by numbers in many respects. The full soundtrack analysed, follows a lot of chord progressions that Damon had built his drinking well on on post 1999, or as early as the Ravenous soundtrack. The fuller orchestrated sound can always impress above the artists involvement to some degree. Like using a stencil to draw a circle

It has its moments, but even as a huge Damon/Blur fan I struggle a little sitting through it all.

I really like Dr Dee. I wish that Damon would sing in more songs.

The ending of The Moon Exalted is just beautiful.

nah it's not. Only Marvelous Dream is on there as a teaser. I think what you have linked me to is your own collection?

yes, it´s there, just follow the link. Or at least I have it there, but I don´t think its available in some countries only. You must have it there, too.
