Battle of Britpop: Stereotypes vs Roll With It

Stereotypes was intended to be the lead single in The Great Escape. What would have been the result in that case?

I don't think the song choice really mattered.

I beg to differ. The fact Country House has a very singalong, earworm chorus really didn't harm the cause. Maybe because of Roll with it not being particularly strong Stereotypes may have still edged it. It would have affected things though.

I'm not too fond of RWI. It's OK, but in this battle I think the public would have went with it. The fact Stereotypes was released 3rd says it's not that strong of a single.

I prefer 'Stereotypes' to 'Roll With It' though I think the general audience may have chosen the latter. I certainly preferred 'Country House' to 'Roll With It'.
