What a great interview - really enjoyed that - Damon on top form!

A Billie Eilish / Gorillaz collab would be excellent. And this Netflix thing does seem to be happening after all

I'm looking forward to seeing Damon two nights in a row next month - Sunday 20 Feb at the Troxy and then Monday 21 Feb at the Barbican

The Troxy gig is the last in a week of Warchild/Brits concerts. Could this be something special? Previous Warchild gigs at the Albert Hall have featured Graham I think? Damon has a couple of weeks free prior to this in his busy schedule for a bit of rehearsing. Another blur one-off? Who knows...

The Barbican gig is the original Nearer the Fountain launch event - postponed three times! I have the emails to prove it! Could we finally see the full orchestra here?

Speculation, speculation! In the end we'll probably get the solo touring band (Damon on piano with Simon, Mike, Seye etc) plus the Demon Strings. I'll happily settle for that, but it doesn't hurt to dream a little!

Went to the Troxy gig last night. Er - interesting show. I was expecting the Fountain stuff plus the blur piano interpretations, but what we got was the full album with extended intros/outros and lots of bird and wave noises! Plus Damon's massive horn...

Polaris was nearer to the version aired on the Boilerhouse/Isolation stream...

HOWEVER the encore was three Fountain outtakes!! Never heard before!! The sort of melodic snippets that made Blur 21 so fascinating!

Outtake 1 is a bit boring to be honest but 2 and 3 - WOW - they could easily be the core of new blur/gorillaz songs...
