Seems like there's a lot of love for it on social media. A lot of reference to it sounding like Gorillaz.

Maybe it's caught more attention because of the disappointment of Humanz.

I don't see how Humanz disappointment could give it that big of a bump, though. But it's the best theory I've heard. Mysterious!

I still don't completely hear how it's similar sounding to the Gorillaz, but it does have that atmospheric up-lifting party vibe to it that the other "TMW" tracks lack. It has such a slight reggae/ska feel to it and always manages to put an IMMENSE smile on my face!

Weller has good taste! I can't wait to read Q's entire section on Damon at 50.

Guess it should have been lead single, and not at all

Definitely one of the best tracks on the album, potential single material. At least would have been a better choice than Go Out.

I definitely agree w/you on that... "Ghost Ship" is a very special track indeed and Blur and management really erred there in recognizing the full potential this track really had, but certainly wasn't the first time... "Bugman" and "Blue Jeans" both promptly come to mind and they also missed out w/"Cowboy Song".....

cowboy song rules but it's just 1 chord and damon does that thing where he just makes shit up as he sings. not quite a hit.
