The blur/Damon fanbase feels like a family, it's so nice connecting with people over Damon's music from all over the world :)

4 star review in MOJO today :) :)

"Lady Boston ... is up there with the most evocative attempts by British pop to interpret its locality: Penny Lane, Waterloo Sunset, Ghost Town, This Is England, Blur's This Is A Low."

High praise indeed...

that's exciting. ;) i can't remember the ratings for humanz and everyday robots but i believe MOJO reviews are quite austere. so, it's a good thing!

Oh, good to see first reviews coming out.
Must admit, I'd really want more than 4 stars though to be convinced that this is a great album. I'd need 5 stars (or 9-10 out of 10).
Why? Damon seems to attract disproportionately good reviews in everything he does. Reviewers seem to add a star on, so when they give him 4, others would only get a 3. He's a great interviewee and wields a lot of power/influence in the music world, so publications don't want to upset him. And journos are perhaps in awe at the sheer volume of stuff that he does, and the range of musical genres. But has he actually come up with some genuinely great melodies this time? We'll find out soon...
