Who knows - time is an elastic thing with Damon! But he's constantly referred to the new GBQ album coming out by the end of this year - so I guess that means November or December. I would guess December...lumaka wrote:What does "next month" mean? December 'cause it's printed in November issue of Mojo?

Re: THE GOOD, THE BAD & THE QUEEN THREAD
It's most likely to mean November - even that's effectively 1 to 2 months away. December is a bad time to bring out a new album unless it has a festive theme.lumaka wrote:What does "next month" mean? December 'cause it's printed in November issue of Mojo?
This is all pretty exciting, and sounds like it could be an absolute corker but the same could be said for all the various Damon albums in recent years. They all sounded great in advance! Problem is they pretty much all suffer from weak melody-itis. Let's hope a cure has been found.

I am slightly concerned about the turnaround on this album (like the last few projects). Hopefully its quality over quantity and it's back to winning ways. Still super excited and I'll be keeping an eye on the tour dates if the album is any good.

You're welcome.
New interesting update from Damon interview for Canadian newspapers:
The day we finish this Gorillaz tour, those that are involved in both bands fly back to England and we start rehearsing to go out on tour. It’s literally like a relay race.
Damon Albarn says new Gorillaz tour might be its last until 2028 - Toronto Sun, 4 Oct 2018

And yes, I have no idea how Damon does it. Also, didn't he say he wrote another Gorillaz record at some point? Why would he wait until 2028?? More than anything I'm still hoping that in 2020 blur will reunite.
