Polished Stone

Hello, I try to teach the b-side "Polished Stone" to myself on the guitar, but it's a bit complicated. I tried to find a good effect for the intro on my small Blackstar amplifier and for the verse, I tried to make some noise with the tremolo. But it won't sound right. Does anybody a good effect or different chords or something like this?

With the best wishes
Moritz

Is the lyric "today is fucked"? I always thought it was "fun".

I think it is "fun", you can hear this and it's in the most of the lyrics in the internet. By the way, "Polished Stone" was just played two times, at the b-sides night and maybe at New Zealand in 1997. Does any body know if it was real played at New Zealand and if live records exist?

Fun, huh? I always thought it was the other one. That actually makes more sense! Me and my bad ears.

I'm pretty sure it's 'fucked'. 'I won't get up because to day is fucked' makes more sense than 'fun'

Yea but fun rhymes with "forget what we've done"!

Fucked rhymes with 'up' in this context. Two lines before go 'today is GONE but it won't be LONG' then later 'won't get UP 'caus today is FUCKED' to follow the same rhyming pattern.
