I genuinely hope he is. Apart from anything else, it would definitely boost sales/interest

Geez, racist? What a reach. I'm not going to waste my breath on this issue, but I'll just say that I agree with what everyone else is saying in the thread. He was (very understandably) worn out and not in the best of moods during this interview but that doesn't make him this ogre that various imbeciles are portraying him to be.

I'd be super curious to see how Kanye and Damon would get along.munch wrote:Be funny if Kanye is on the next Gorillaz record
Kanye's not THAT great on a feature though... hopefully Damon lands Kendrick.

^ I wish he would work with Kendrick too. "To Pimp A Butterfly" is a first rap record I've properly listened to up until the end and enjoyed. He does good music

Anyone from Odd Future would be pretty neat.

Re: NEW ALBUM: The Magic Whip
I do. Kanye West's music is phenomenally good. I was very disappointed in Graham's comments to be honest. Clearly the opinions of someone who hasn't given Kanye's albums a chance.Ambulance wrote:Fuck that! who is Kanye West?? and most important question, who the fuck cares?Lt Pinkerton wrote:Clickbait. And I love Graham.

Me too, I would really wonder how Kanye and damon would get a long. I know Damon tried to get Kanye for the first Africa Express run, travel to Africa but he didn't go. And Damon went to the GOOD music (Kanye's record label) after party, there's even video of Damon on stage drunk with a bunch of rappers, pretty funny video. Damon was a rapper for that short while because of his little verse of Feel Good INC. De La Soul must of insisted him being there xDMelon_Collie wrote:I'd be super curious to see how Kanye and Damon would get along.munch wrote:Be funny if Kanye is on the next Gorillaz record

and i think most gorillaz fans are hoping for kendrick lamar collab. i bet it would be a hit

I think Kendrick would be more willing to collaborate with Damon than Kanye. It'd work better musically as well, and I prefer Kanye to Kendrick. Oddisee would also be pretty cool.

Beastie Boys would have been a fantastic collaboration, but not anymore.

Damon has already done more than enough collaborations with rappers to show he has an authentic interest in hip hop.
Re: Blur interview in The Guardian (Kanye West etc.)
Why stick to just rap? I'd love to see Damon work with someone like Buddy Guy which would help bring the blues to the mainstream again.

Man I hate the negative feedback Blur are getting for the interview. I mean I cant judge Kayne on his music fairly (never listened) but I'm not too much of a fan of his antics. Also, I never listened to Kendrick Lamar but supposedly everyone as wells hoping for a collaboration. I might as well!

I've been saying this for years. My two favourite bands in the world are Blur and Beastie Boys, so that collaboration would've been incredible.tom_cas1 wrote:Beastie Boys would have been a fantastic collaboration, but not anymore.

I'd love to hear Mike Patton on a Gorillaz record.
