It is billed as a festival but essentially it is basically a gig for the main act.
Is it like the old Wireless? What I mean by that is specifically short sets. I saw Pulp at Wireless in Hyde Park and from what I remember, the set was really quite short.

Not from my experience. The Rolling Stones played a full setlist, 19 songs which is their standard now given how long some songs are and the age of the band.

The Libertines played 26+ songs I think which is their normal setlist.

I dont think there is any reason the band will not play a full setlist unless they don't want too, Blur actually have less acts all day than some of the others which is probably a good sign.

Ah, good. Pulp must have been an exception. Their set was really bloody good, but at 15 songs with no encore, was quite short for a headliner.

I can only speak from past events of course, But looking at it sensibly given the high ticket price, average support bands and it is more or less a homecoming gig for the band and their only "big" UK date I don't imagine it will be a reduced setlist.

The curfew is 22.30 (no exceptions, its a serious curfew at HP) so once you know the time blur are coming on stage you will know for sure how long they will be on stage.

When is a stage times guide likely to be released? Anyone know this from going previously?

I think its a few days before, so probably next week sometime. I;d check the official site and main twitter.

The day specific maps are yet to be released too.

Rather than reduce ticket price this time it looks like the remainder are been given away in prize draws judging by the amount I'm seeing on newsletters and news feeds etc.

Can't help but feel they've slightly exhausted Hyde Park so it's less of an event than it seemed to be in 2009. I hope they deliver an absolute belter though with a couple of unexpected songs, but I guess the majority of people there will know the singles more than the albums. That didn't stop them playing some more leftfield stuff in '09.

It's apparently 65,000 capacity, so that's a pretty tall order for sales.

I think they've sold around 40k tickets so far. The only sellout BST gig is Taylor Swift!

Yeah as much as I loved 09 and 12 at Hyde park part of me wishes it was at another venue. Finsbury Park would be ideal I reckon. Wembley would be my biggest nightmare!!!!
