Totally agree - one of my favourites, actually.Sean wrote:I really really *really* don't get the apathy towards New World Towers. It's a beautiful song and Graham's guitar breaks elevate it to something really quite special I think.

It gets a terrible rap on here. The Puritan is a great little tune. Gets me bouncing. I know most people would roll their eyes in horror, but I'd love to hear it live. Won't happen of course.TripleJay97 wrote:Leave The Puritan alone! It's a cracking tune.

This is the problem with The Puritan imo - it's only any good live.101reykjavik wrote:It gets a terrible rap on here. The Puritan is a great little tune. Gets me bouncing. At Margate it was brilliant. But it doesn't have anywhere near the same energy on the record.

I'm in the camp of loving New World Towers, think it is beautiful and love Graham's guitar work on it.
Re: Blur Survivor: THE MAGIC WHIP (Round 2)
It's definitely a better live track but you're right, I don't see it ever being played again to be honest.101reykjavik wrote:It gets a terrible rap on here. The Puritan is a great little tune. One of the best songs on the album getting kicked out in the second round, makes sense.

I'm in the Towers camp too! It's actually my second favourite from TMW after Ice Cream Man. But seeing all the 'hate' towards these two songs, I guess I must be weird then
Anyway, GHOST SHIP for me this round.
