I already know we disagree about this Tom, but yes, I would rather hear For Tomorrow, This is a Low, Girls & Boys etc than the likes of Battle and Trailerpark. And that's from a pretty dedicated fan.

I like Badhead but... how on earth has it made it on to the setlist??
Re: Gig: Paris, 15 June
Perhaps we can sort out a perfect set for Blur by playing Setlist Survivor. We start off with the entire back catalogue, and eliminate songs one by one till we're left with just 25.
One for you Tom, when you're bored.

Some hits have to stay, that's quite obvious. But Badhead? To The End? Hell, even Trimm Trabb or Out of Time, which I love? Mix things up a bit!

I don't think I'll ever be that bored.Foggy wrote:Perhaps we can sort out a perfect set for Blur by playing Setlist Survivor. We start off with the entire back catalogue, and eliminate songs one by one till we're left with just 25.

Nothing like a good setlist debate!

I'll remind you of that when we're into year four of no news in 2019 and we're all gagging for some kind of Blur activity again.tom_cas1 wrote:I don't think I'll ever be that bored.Foggy wrote:Perhaps we can sort out a perfect set for Blur by playing Setlist Survivor. Yeah, it was amazing. Sometimes we complain so much that we forget about how fucking good this band is.Leahscarlet2 wrote:I think this was one of their best shows personally

What a great evening it turned out to be thanks to this gig! I was watching it like a giddy little kid!
Yeah would love to have more Whip-y setlist too but that's beyond us. Favourite bits: Damon's mad bouncing on the stage, Graham's messing around with Out of Time, Dave getting a shower from Damon, Graham's fucking tight playing on every song, and absolute loveliness of My Terracota Heart.
Thanks guys for the link, that was proper fun

Re: Gig: Paris, 15 June
I'm not even getting concerned about the lack of back catalogue. I mean, Ambulance, Battle etc would be great, but the 'rarities' are covered to be fair by He Thought of Cars and Trouble.
If there was no new album, I'd be clamouring for 1992, Battle...
But: there is a new album. And it's brilliant, and made number 1. I think it's ridiculous they're not playing most of it. In what world, in 2015, does Parklife get played over Pyongyang?

Agreed, I'm really hoping someone managed to record the stream.Lt Pinkerton wrote:Yeah, it was amazing. Sometimes we complain so much that we forget about how fucking good this band is.Leahscarlet2 wrote:I think this was one of their best shows personally

The world where "Parklife" was a big hit for them. Of course they're going to play it. Besides, they probably have a blast doing it, so why wouldn't they play it?JackS wrote:In what world, in 2015, does Parklife get played over Pyongyang?
