If you love 90s nostalgia yes or if not you can just wait for the YouTube upload of blur's bit in a few days time ;)

When I first saw Liam I thought they'd brought back the TFI 'fat lookalikes' feature.

Not that I haven't ballooned myself this last 20 yrs. People in glass houses, and all that...

I really enjoyed the show, but even as a loon F1 fan I have to agree that that was a weak finish. They should have got Liam to sing Bugman instead, that would have been something. :D

I tuned in late and spent over an hour waiting for Blur to come on... Never mind!

I really enjoyed the show. Very nostalgic. Though I thought the Liam and Roger Daltry bit was awful.

Apples and oranges really. TFI is a totally different beast - an entertainment programme which features music. Jools is serious music, it's just The Old Grey Whistle Test really. I enjoy both, but for sheer entertainment factor, last night was brilliant.

It did tail off a bit, mainly because Lewis Hamilton is a typically boring racing driving who's supremely talented behind the wheel but has nothing to say out of the cockpit. If they'd kept that short, I thought the reveal of the lap time was pretty exciting. But then, as I said last night, that all depends on whether you care about Top Gear. If you do, and millions of people do don't forget, seeing if the Ferrari beat the record would have been potentially interesting. That was the calculation I think. Well, that and Chris auditioning for a new Top Gear...

Seeing it properly now without the sound delay and stuff it shows that apart from a little bit at the end, Damon didn't really sing at all, just mimed I guess :lol:
Still no matter though Graham did a splendid job, and what a lovely touch with the backing vocalists.

The rest of the music acts were so so, bordering on plain awful in case of Rudimental and Ricky Wilson, however short his appearance was.

Yes, Graham did a good job and I noticed too that Damon didn't sing his parts, only at the end.....

If that story about Damon's voice being shot is true I bet he's glad he let Graham have a single! :lol:

(I wonder if they would have done Y'all Doomed if this weren't a weird nineties tribute show..)

I thought the show was great fun. I thought it was going to be horribly cringeworthy, but Chris Evans (love him or hate him) showed he's one of the best at live TV...

And that was a great performance of Coffee & TV, that new ending is sublime

Just watched the performance back here...

http://www.channel4.com/programmes/tfi- ... /60679-001" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Is it me or does, right at the very end when Graham decides to have one little last blast of distortion :lol: , the camera is on Damon and as Graham rips into it he seems to cast a glance of pure panic at Graham... :lol: ..."WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING MAN, THIS IS THE END!" ....but it all works out just fine. :mrgreen:
