Can't stand that Widcombe bloke, comes across weird IMO
Can't believe I'm saying this but I agree with you. It was a weird thing to say.

Well I'm sorry I wasn't conceived 20 years earlier.

Don't mind the guy. I don't find him very funny though. Just trying to gain some fan cred by saying that. To a generic audience like that it probably sounded like impressive knowledge.
Exactly, and to those with no clue they would have thought the band have just had a recent name change that's my point.

I loved Graham & Damon looking at each other while Graham was singing:

Dude, wtf was up with that guy's hair?

I agree it was a stupid ass thing to say. If he felt the need to show people who don't know that much about Blur that he's a fan, he should have said something like "They started as a band named Seymour until 1990 when they changed their name Blur"

This introduction of his is being over-analysed. It was alright, and he's a sound guy, so let's not give him too much flak.

Here's that link again:

He's genuine. If he was a faker sucking up to them whilst we knew he really prefers James Blunt, or something, then he'd be fair game.

I've only been alive for the past 3 Blur albums, does that mean I can't like Blur?

I can't believe some people are actually discussing where people are positioned in a blur fan hierarchy, it's pathetic.

Yeah, it was a beautiful moment indeed, one of many of those that make me wonder why the f*ck would Damon say/hint this is the last Blur album or that they won't play together any more and he prefers to do other stuff. One can only hope, eh?

Usual suspect though.

Best ignoring it.

I wasn't around for the 1980 FA Cup Final so maybe I'm not a true West Ham fan. Really should have been around for Thames Ironworks first game in 1895. I love people younger than me getting in to Blur. It's great. I've seen Blur many times. Does that make me better than someone who's seen them once? Nope.

People can't help when they're born. Almost every band/artist has been influenced in some way or another by the Beatles..the majority not being around to see them live. Still count as fans
