I don't actually get the love for Tame...

I mean, it's a good song and all and I enjoy it, but how is it a great one?

I like it, quite a lot, but I know where you're coming from. The tame, tame, taaammme refrain over and over is just a little bit annoying after a while to my ears.

It's catchy, it's eerie, great guitar and synths combo, what's not to love?

1. St Louis (always been one of my favourites)
2. The Man Who Left Himself (rediscovered this one after seeing Damon and Graham play it at RAH)
3. Tame

The Horrors over OBEM and Ultranol??? wow. sure don't see that. maybe if it had real strings and brass instead of cheesy electronics....

1. No Monsters in Me
2. The Man Who Left Himself
3. Tame

Special mention to St Louis that helped me realize my future wasn't where i thought it was, and The Horrors, which i listen to almost every night to put my baby (and myself) to sleep.

Probably their best b-sides, could have picked almost all.

1. one born every minute
2. tame
3. a song

still, ultranol, no monsters in me, st. louis, the horrors...all brilliant!

One Born Every Minute
Ultranol
St. Louis

If I could've picked five, Tame and No Monsters in Me would have rounded out my choices.

Tame; One Born Every Minute;St. Louis. Exists a demo or a different version of "Tame"? I think it's a great tune which show the slow U-turn to a different sound (I hear there was a fight between Damon and Graham during the recording, because of musical differences). Is there also a not-remixed version of "Entertain Me" ?

With the best wishes

The original (or non-remixed version) of Entertain Me appears in The Great Escape album, it's weird that you've heard the Live It! Remix but not the original. It has (in my opinion) one of Alex's best basslines ever.

Definitely St. Louis, Ultranol, and I guess Tame…I like all of these b-sides a lot. Even Ludwig is okay. A bit silly, but worth a listen now and again.

I just notice that "Entertain Me" is in "The Great Escape". Sorry for my stupid question. I think that a lot of Blur b-sides have their charme. I think a official collection of this ones would be great, or a new international version of "The Special Collectors Edition".

Unless of course you don't want to fork out £100. (It's worth it, no doubt, and I bought mine for about £160, but I agree a 2CD compilation or whatever would be nice for times when I don't want to have to keep swapping around CDs. And ur, YouTube isn't good enough.)
