I am so happy that I've gone and filmed a tutorial on how to find a easter egg on an unrelated music DVD for YouTube

Easy now! Casablancas has an amazing voice.
not to mention his impeccable songwriting craft
Aye. Don't get me wrong, I do quite like The Strokes. Saying that they're better than Blur seems a little nuts to me though. Also, while I wouldn't be crazy about Ong Ong, I wouldn't dismiss it as harshly as you did either! ;)

@ Sean

Bad choice of words on my part - 'low key'. I'm replying quickly here at the moment. It is epic, I agree. Just wondered if on a half hour TV show the producers might want to finish on something punchier. I'm not knocking Mirrorball.

i was about to say - and from a blank Magic Whip canvas, Mirrorball would be one of my picks. It's fucking great.

The band can't really win though can they.
Totally agree with this bit. Say they had played a slower one, I wonder how many people on here would be moaning that they weren't doing enough to attract more fans...

listening to I Broadcast, it's amazing how after all these years the chemistry between Alex and Graham is still so perfect
Textin' abbreviates the brain. Aspirin takes away the pain.

We are probably all prone to over analyse these things. ;)

You can imagine if they'd done a slowie, Joe Bloggs would be on Twitter calling them boring old men playing a boring slow song. "Do something a bit livelier!"

They totally can't win.

Everyone has a platform now. In the past if you thought a band was shit, you'd tell your four mates down the pub, two of them would disagree, another would take your side, the fourth one would shrug. The whole thing would end by 11pm. Now it goes on for pages and everyone thinks their opinion matters. It's the new world.

100%.

Guitar and bass are fantastic in I Broadcast. Could be my favourite Blur punk thrash song. Definately ahead of Chinese Bombs and BLUREMI at the moment!
