That this is a lovely Blur tribute band, that Ong Ong contains "sixth form level lyricism", that no one ordered a Blur resurgence...

I would say that was an overall enjoyable performance. A bit bummed they only played the two shortest songs on the album, but I guess we'll get more on Friday.

The Brits all over again?

I'm disappointed they played Ong Ong to be honest. I don't dislike it but it was the least best thing I remember from the stream.

Life's too short. They probably only know Song 2 and Country House anyway.

I Broadcast sounded ok but wasn't feeling Ong Ong personally. Still far better than anything the Vaccines did and were nowhere near as annoying as either Laura Marling or Natalie Prass (the sound went right down when she was on as it was hurting my ears! :D ) Thank goodness the Songbuoy Blues were on!

They must've been constrained by time but yeah playing the two kinda short bratty ones - much as I like em both - doesn't give a true reflection of the new record. The casual observer will just think Blur have come back with a few knees ups, which is bollocks obviously but it's a bit annoying.

Thought both songs were great, particularly I Broadcast with Damon trying to inject a bit of energy into the place.

And yeah, there are some negative comments on Twitter, but Blur have always been a divisive band. Plenty of positive comments as well though!

And yeah, The Strokes better than Blur?
