13
Modern Life Is Rubbish
Blur
Think Tank
The Great Escape
Leisure
Parklife

It is at the bottom of my list, so to ME, it is their worst album. That's not to say that I despise the album because I don't. There are many songs I like on it. But to ME it's not as good as every other album they've done. Each to their own, I'm not having a go at people who love the record to bits so I wish people wouldn't slate my opinion on it being their worst album. Everyone is different. :)
Not slating your opinion, mate. Like I said, taste is subjective and I respect yours. Only that in this context, such a strong remark is going to stir controversy to some degree. I obviously don't understand how you rank it at the bottom, but whatever, to each their own.

DO IT :D

What I wanted to say is that Parklife and TGE could even make a double album, with a progression from the lighter to the darker side. I can't think of one without thinking of the other, so it is surprising for me that one is always praised and the other is despised. Both have songs I love and songs I can't stand, but in my case I am more inclined to what TGE offers, and that's why I am sad to see it has become somehow an official punching bag. It is a clever album with many highlights and it doesn't deserve that treatment, again, in my opinion!

Now on to my selected tracks:

Girls & Boys
Badhead
To The End
Trouble in the Message Centre
This is a Low

I was cloooose to mark The Debt Collector though. Always love their instrumentals :P

This Is A Low (Fave ever Blur track..?)
End of a Century (first song I learned on ukulele!)
London Loves (Great to hear them play it at Wolverhampton in 2013)
Trouble In The Message Centre
Badhead (Vastly underated track!)
On the slow boat to Lantau through misty seas...

I find over-listening to an album can lower your opinion of it.
NOT for the likes of you. Image

Strange how they ignored "Trouble" for so many years when they play it so well live, surprised its done so well here but great to see.

I've said it before that To the End is one of literally 5 Blur songs across their 7 albums that I actively dislike, but I do like the La Comedie version quite a bit.
