Everything about For Tomorrow is amazing. Best song on MLIR

Fair enough, it's all subjective. But I strongly disagree. For Tomorrow is a stone cold classic, and is a stunning opener to the album.

For me, For Tomorrow is their joint finest single with Popscene and Beetlebum.

Yes I agree, though rather than Popscene I would have Tender. To each their own though!

Yeah, I'd go with that. Beetlebum edges it for me out of those three.

I don't hate For Tomorrow but it's never really done anything for me. Let's All Go Down The Strand Though...no no no no NO! Awful.

Also we should do a b-side version of this once we've worked our way through each album. Rubi, carry on!!

He doesn't even sing "have a banana" in it, its a joke! :D
But yeah even if he doesn't sing the part that's the only reason I even remember the song at all outside of Blur, it and Daisy Bell are terrible, truly terrible, and I doubt For Old Times' Sake was any better.

Intermission! Yay! I was only thinking there, when it gets to the self titled album, I'm gonna be screwed trying to score just 5. It's definitely my favourite album, no bad songs on it, and I'd say about 12 of the 14 would be among the best Blur have ever done imo.

Daisy is the lesser of 2 evils. It's a bit rubbish, but I don't mind it too much really.

For Old Times' Sake is their only lost song I don't care about hearing, but there are certainly worse B-sides (End of a Century single)

Top 5:

Coping
Advert
Blue Jeans
Intermission
For Tomorrow

I'd go for Sunday Sunday, but after listening to the Andy Partridge version the album version sounds a bit crap to me.

I don't mind them both either. Not that I would actively seek them out ahead of most of their back catalogue, but I'm pleased they are the kind of band to do that sort of thing at all. A lot more straightforward bands wouldn't dare or have the balls. It shows an eclectic appreciation for music and that they don't take themselves too seriously - in a similar way as The Beatles would dip into music hall or comedy elements as light relief. I like that kaleidoscopic effect.
