Splitting the Blur forum?

Post by Veikko » 05 Mar 2015, 21:40

Hello everyone,

As this forum section has become quite busy lately, more sections may be needed soon. I've thought about two possible new ones: Side Projects and/or The Magic Whip.

But what do you reckon? Do you think the current forum set-up is just fine? Or would you be willing to browse another section to talk about Gorillaz and other projects?

I don't think it needs to be split. When this cycle's over we won't have anything to talk about but the new Gorillaz.

I don't think it needs a change, but I guess having a separate section for "side projects" would make it a little neater.

Yeah, tbh I reckon it's ok as it is - only possible change would be a sub-forum to discuss live dates/shows etc if the touring picks up closer to the album release?

Hmm... I like it how it is now, however the side projects idea may not be bad. I'm just afraid it wouldn't be very active, course I guess a new Gorillaz album would change that!

I like it as it is too. I also agree that although hiving off a section now may seem like a sensible enough idea, it will be quiet around these parts again before we know it. I recall the extra section of the old forum that was set up for Blur 21 with loads of threads for every part of the box set. After the initial excitement died down no one ever went in there and most threads had a handful of posts in them.

Keep it as it is. I enjoyed ranking Graham's solo albums, I doubt I would have went in to another section and seen it.

It's great having different topics appearing plus the main two at the top regularly posted in.

Good forum Veikko! No need for change!!

Keep it as it is, for now. When a new Gorillaz and/or Graham album are on the horizon, then maybe a Side Projects section would be welcome. Now there's no point.

I hate it when boards get split a bunch and fractioned up.
The old forum with the pointless 21 or Think Tank sections annoyed my brain.
Info goes here. Having content is a good thing

I'm all right with things as they are, but if a new section was made for side projects and solo work, it may help keeping things better organized. So I voted for that, but it's not a pressing matter.

I think we need a Think Tank section personally.

It's perfect Veikko. No need to create subforums. ;)
