Best Album Singles

Post by jamoore1996 » 05 Mar 2015, 10:37

For me, every one from Blur is very strong, so it's my favourite album in terms of singles

My order:
Blur
Parklife
13
The Great Escape
Think Tank
Leisure
Modern Life Is Rubbish

It was a tough choice between Parklife and Blur, but I went with the latter because I love every one of its singles, whereas I'm not 100% keen on M.O.R.

Modlife for me. Bought them all in '93. But was so glad when the 10 anniversary singles boxset came out as the CDs got scratched and a bit unplayable. :/

Got ya. :) I love M.O.R incidentally. Also, it sounds amazing live. That's one I'd love to hear in the upcoming shows, but it seems unlikely!

I'm surprised for the lack of love for 13, hands down the best although No Distance Left To Run shouldn't have been a single. Bugman should have. Still, 13 gets my vote.

Are you fucking insane? No Distance Left To Run kicks Bugman's ass and pisses in its mouth.

That was tough... some great singles from all albums. Went with Blur in the end. Beetlebum alone wins over all the others (though I also love The Universal, but I'm not too hot on any of the other Great Escape singles.).

Probably Parklife follows. Then 13, MLIR, Leisure and Think Tank. Great Escape last.

Oh and This is a Low should so have been a single!

I'd say it's a better single but it's not a better song.

A single version of Bugman similar to how they played it live in 1999 would have been nice.
