At this point, I'd have to go to Philly to see them, although if they play Boston it will give me a great excuse to make a lightning trip back home

Well at least if they play at a place that won't take the camera away would be fine. I've snuck my camera into many places. The only one I got in trouble was at a Gorillaz concert in New York. A security guy saw me take a photo and told me if I didn't stop he'd throw me out. I obviously stopped. Thing that sucked was there was something wrong with the lens and most photos were blurry.

That could have just been camera shake if your shutter speed wasn't fast enough (get me... ), in any case it's usually hard/impossible to get a pass for the bigger bands, unless you are working for a media outlet (at least in the UK).

If they do end up doing any warm-up gigs in or near my town I might have a go at getting a pass... but, being realistic, I'm not holding my breath on either of those two things happening.

Just be thankful that most smartphones these days have decent cameras and that you're allowed to bring them into venues. It's not the same, true, but it's better than the old days when you couldn't bring anything in

That is very true. Same thing at sporting events. It's like, dude why did you spend the money and time to come here if you're not even gonna enjoy it!

Image quality on those isn't very good though, they don't perform terribly well in low light conditions (I'm an old-fashioned girl! )

It's very annoying, but some people do enjoy taking a few pics as a memento, so it's understandable. I don't see the point myself and would rather enjoy the gig, but then again I don't see the point of autographs either!

Hmmm has anyone else just received an email from Blur/Warner saying that some people had difficulty buying tickets yesterday? I presume it's just a general one they sent round to everybody on the mailing list rather than people they know had problems - I thought I got the tickets successfully?

Yep, I got that one today at 4pm. Just had another from AEG offering a pre-sale tomorrow too.

I *think* I'm OK - I bought two tickets online through AXS yesterday morning, got an order number and printed the confirmation webpage (now gone of course) but didn't get the confirmation email. Rang AXS last night (on hold for 11 minutes), got through to someone who confirmed that my order was on their system and who agreed to send a second email. This one didn't arrive either

anyone else have this issue?
