Gaz Coombes announced as another support for The Who at Hyde Park, surely he would be a better support act for blur :(
Then Susan comes into the room, she's a naughty girl with a lovely smile...

Damn! Would have made my day if he'd been on the Blur bill. :(

^yeah that would've been good, Gaz's solo stuff is great. Have to say, the support for Blur at HP is utter shite especially compared to some of the other bills. It's not their fault (unless I'm wrong and they do pick their support acts?) but still...woof.

If they pick their own support acts then I'd like to put forward the resident FORUM BAND from 2008, The Footlongs!!

On drums and ukulele, we have the extremely wonderful Sedders. On bass? You guessed it, the remarkably talented Trimm Trabb! And on guitar, yours truly.

Call us tweedz.

Going by the calibre of The Who support acts I'm starting to think maybe The Strokes and Beck date should have just been merged with the Blur one. They're gonna have to add some pretty big acts to the bill to justify charging way more than the other days.

Beck, The Strokes and Blur would have been an incredible line-up. Have to agree that the bill for the Blur day (as a "Festival" type show) is a bit underwhelming...

Probably because there have been 3 shows recently(ish) and the price.

If Beck and Gaz Coombes were on the Blur day i would have bought a ticket. Instead I will wait for their warm-up shows to be announced.

It probably works against Blur's favor that this line-up is so fractured...if they were on the same bill with another great act (Beck, Gaz, Who, etc) I've no doubt it would have sold, but for that price most people are only gonna wanna see Blur and not the dross they have opening for them, so why shell out? Especially if they do some (so far not announced) warm-ups?

I'd have had The Strokes/Beck/Blur. Blur and Beck on the same bill... I honestly could die happy.

Beck/Blur would have been great. I couldn't care less about the Strokes though.
