Very disappointed with the support acts announced so far, I've never heard of ANY of them other than The Horrors who are excellent. Surely most of these acts aren't going to be main stage support! Do the band have any input input into the other acts playing at the festival because it's not solely a blur gig it's a BST Hyde Park Festival. I was really hoping for far better especially as The Who have Johnny Marr and Paul Weller on the main stage.
Edit, just checked out Drenge who are pretty good, and Fufanu sound interesting
I'm very disappointed with the support bands other than The Horrors, but with three other stages the majority of those announced today will NOT be on the main stage.
Looking at the line ups from previous BST Festival Gigs a lot of lesser known acts are spread over three smaller stages. It could be the case that BST have yet to finalize the other big name acts for the main stage whereas these were secured first for the Kylie, The Who & Taylor Swift gigs in order to sell tickets.
Looking at previous years line ups, they usually have three big name support acts on the main stage with lesser known acts playing the three other stages.
"Now, it's been revealed that they will be joined on the day across several stages by Metronomy, Drenge, The Horrors, Jupiter & Okwess International, Roots Manuva, Kitty, Daisy & Lewis, Teleman, Iris Gold, Fufanu and Sugarmen."
