It is strange, yes.. Alex did a video where he invented people in Abu Dhabi to see the concert (edit: here it is - https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_ ... 1396524%2F" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) but the site hasn't updated yet...

I think this is just blur's Management being slow...

Or inept. Or both, as recent years have shown us.

He sounded so sarcastic - kind of reminded me of that montage from No Distance Left To Run!

"our head of security , Smoggy, who has been with us for 25 years is a huge F1 fan and one of the reasons we decided to end the tour in Abu Dhabi was that he is having a big birthday this year and we couldn’t think of a better present or a more fun way to celebrate"

Sounds like the main reason for this gig is to celebrate Smoggy's 50th birthday with some F1 and a great party, which is really, really cool. :D

I put me trousers on, have a cup of tea, and think about leaving the house...

What a lovely thing to do! The gig makes sense now. Always thought it seemed a bit random.

What a nice way to end then, in that case. Smoggy is great! I'm glad they're ending the year on a high note, partying for Smoggy's bday. With everyone talking about Abu Dhabi being a money grab, this was a nice surprise. Not that it won't be great money-wise, I just think we fans can be overly critical/jump to conclusions too quickly sometimes :)

Nah, my bet is that none of them will appear. Too early for Gorillaz and Graham would have announced his new record if wanted to do this festival.
