saw Courtney Barnnett on Conan Obrien the one night, didn't know about her. Was surprised how good she is... Definitely something Graham would listen to and good choice for an opening band

Are you kidding me? She's a terrible choice. No one knows who she is... And for MSG?? Yikes. I just feel sorry for her.

Not even close. So many other people make better music and are cooler than Kim Gordon.

Lots of people know who she is. And even if they didn't, surely this is some good exposure for her?

I don't know the bird but playing at MSG to a full crowd can only be good for her career. Great opportunity.

I think the point that's being made is that saying that sounds ever so slightly out of date in 2015

I was going to post a thumbs up emoticon here and then realised we didn't have any, so *thumbs up*

Jeez, well I didn't mean to cause any offence. "Out of date", says who? "Bird", "cat", "darling", "love" - all words that are used regularly here in England without any malicious intent.

Just cause it's not malicious doesn't mean it's not sexist and outdated.

Well I didn't mean it in any sexist way, boy oh boy. In fact if you go to any pub here England and a woman is serving, chances are she'll call me (or any other fella) "love" or "darling". No sexism to be seen, just words used by the English for decades and decades. It's not my fault if other people from other countries see it as sexist.

Like I said - I meant no offence.

You seriously don't see the difference between calling a woman a "bird" and the use of "love" or "darling"?
