Oh ye of little faith. ;)

I've always trusted Damons and co's judgement..I mean, how many times have they been written off and then come back in glory?

Playing festival gigs for people who couldn't afford/get to the UK for the Olympics? Those heartless swines.

They'd of only screwed with their legacy if they had done the same thing every couple of years, like some nostalgia band...but they haven't.

So, my conspiracy theory that they got rid of the old forum to stifle rumours of a new record was right.

Wow, feel sick with excitement!

Been waiting for this for so long, had totally given up on it happening, although I had harboured very faint hopes in the last couple of years that they might do a Bowie and drop an album on his, which they have kind of done.

One thing I didn't like the sound of was that beyond the initial demos it has just been Graham working on it and then passed it to Steven Street? Made me wonder how much Damon has been involved since the demos? Not heard the press conference, just what I had read on the NME site, so I might have that wrong.

Anyway roll on the 27th of April! Could it be the best yet? 13 is the benchmark! (IMO)

Yeah, that does seem an odd way to make a record, but honestly when they're not touring, they're all off in 4 different directions so very hard to pin them all down together for any sustained period of work. So in a way it makes sense that they took the demos to Street and that Graham has been working on them (he *has* been awfully quiet the past year, hasn't he?).
