Yes! So excited. I'm gonna try to get some questions together on the blur subreddit so he can see that there's a hardcore blur fanbase on reddit. Also hope he goes to /r/blur and sees my CSS stuff that I'm pretty proud of

A reminder that Graham's Ask Me Anything on Reddit starts at 19:30 tonight - so if you want to ask him anything, now's the time to get ready and think up some good questions...

There's a page of typewriter stuff in Everyday Robots.
Around half of it is what ended up becoming You & Me but the rest of it is Spaceman.
'i was iwas a spaceman
digging out my heart
in westbourne grove
the end of the world had come and gone in a blur
a new century upon us
wrapped in
caught in a world of tin foil
if the end of the world had come i did,nt'

I see that The Magic Whip wasn't even nominated for the Mercury Music Prize. Whatever. Bullshit, musical elitist award.
Blur have been nominated twice already and I think Damon asked for the Gorillaz to not be nominated in 2001 so fuck it off

And Damon was nominated last year. It is bullshit to me. If Everyday Robots was nominated, how the hell was TMW not?? I love ER, but TMW is a much better album.

They tend to be biased towards solo artists who make introspective music - much like Everyday Robots. The only two bands that have been nominated are Wolf Alice and Slaves.

And they've never even nominated a heavy metal band. Don't get me wrong I'm not expecting cannibal corpse or Motley Crue to get one but bands like mastodon and opeth should have. Opeth'a last album was a classic

The Dandy Warhols have posted something on FB about Blur headlining the Mexico bill but I don't get it.

I quite some of that Slaves album. Cheer up London, Sockets and Like an Animal = great punk/noisy indie tunes.
Singing is ropey as fuck though

I thought slaves were good live and their first album is great but the new one just sounds over produced to me
