Re: general blur thread
tracks that blur HAVE to play at festivals
Girls & Boys
Song 2
The Universal
i would say that everything else is open for rotation
surprised that popscene and end of a century seem disposable
and very surprised that the god awful stereotypes still remains
and that on your own, a top 5 hit, hasnt appeared since... 2000 meltdown?

You think so? maybe for the "outsiders on blur´s music" but i think Dave had done a superb job in all blur´s songs...love the drums particularly in Battle, and oily water.

The episode where Alex appears on (and IIRC wins) Celebrity Blockbusters is on Challenge tonight at 8pm apparently.
Re: general blur thread
I'm currently sitting outside at Bier Market in Ottawa, where they have the radio on a pop station, and Lonesome Street just came on! A nice surprise on a great day in a beautiful city.

Re: general blur thread
Damon is quoted on the Wiki article for Cher's Believe, calling it "brilliant". And on the page for Disco, Girls & Boys and Entertain Me are mentioned as one in a few songs exemplifying how "disco and its legacy became more accepted by music artists and listeners alike" a good time after disco had finished but before the 2000s (the others mentioned are Pulp's Disco 2000, Deee-Lite's Groove is in the Heart, and, as I added, U2's Lemon).
