If anyone's interested, a video of a snippet from a supposed new Gorillaz song appeared on YouTube today.. It was a reupload of a video that rapper Rat Boy posted on Twitter. Unfortunately, both of them are now deleted!! It was a short instrumental song featuring a couple of keyboard tracks and a bassline, with a very "plastic beach" style! It was very much similar to one of the trailers that were uploaded on youtube at the beginning of phase 3! The video was shot inside studio 13, where the rapper is apparently recording, in these days!

Never heard of Rat Boy but if it's Plastic Beach sounding then that's disappointing. Did anyone manage to grab the audio before it was taken down?

well you think about it. between wonder.land and the blur gigs, do you think damon would try to fit in working on the new gorillaz album? or doing random nothing recordings for young artists? I don't think the latter would be very fair to Jamie. but I understand, it COULD be nothing in the sense that it won't work out musically and Damon will shelve it
They are both working on a new Gorillaz album, it's not speculation anymore man. Damon has said it and so has Jamie.

New artist, sounds a bit like Jamie T or The Maccabees if either of those reference points help you! Not a massive fan, but still nice to see Damon engaging with up and coming artists.

i just realized this is still up. it's something with Big Narsie or whatever his name is.
the beat sounds kind of damon esque and dancehall-y. but dancehall is everywhere. it also looks like damon's studio
unlikey this one is damon/gorillaz related tho. what does everyone else thing?

I don't think Damon or Jamie have confirmed a new Gorillaz album is in the works. I think Damon said he'd like to do one but saying that and actually doing it are two different things.
