Staying right around the corner from Goldsmith's now, will definitely try to find Primrose hill and see if the inscription is still there, and however many other stuff i can fit in these days. Fingers crossed for meeting the great man himself 8-)
sadly, primrose hill writing is long gone I'm afraid (the original and the replacement)

I did this in 2009.
I went to:
Alex's old house by seven dials in covent garden
The Plough pub by British Museum
The Crown pub in seven dials covent garden
Portobello Rd, Honest Jons, Portobello Hotel
Le Caprice
Bayswater Rd, Hyde Park
The Good Mixer
Freuds

When I met Alex last month, I told him I did this, and he asked me if I went to Freuds.

The replacement got rid of it much faster than if it had been left to go naturally.

Very true - I remember all that nonsense a few years back on the old forum about the re-doing of it. Good intentions and all that but it would have been better left well alone.

Totally agree. At least it was still there and may even have been there today, even if it was fainter.

Going back to Blur related places, I can't really think of anywhere that's awesome to visit. They aren't well known apart from hardcore Blur fans like us. Just go to the Abbey Road crossing, much better. 8-)

Dublin Castle is cool, I've played there a number of times myself. I believe they have a photo of Blur playing there hanging up inside near the bar. Cool venue.

Hi,
I've been in London last September and I booked a room in Notting Hill.
I saw the outside of house that Damon shared with Justine (he wrote 13 on the roof of this house) in Notting Hill (maybe Kensington Park Road, I don't remember in this moment).
I went to the Dublin Castle (very nice in the evening, good live music!) and the Good Mixer (very little and rough!) and obviously to Portobello Road's Market.
The best thing was that, returning from Portobello Market to my hotel, for chance I met Damon when he was buying bread near his house (near my hotel).
I hasked for a photo and an autograph and he was very nice and he did both of them.
Then, he waved good bye and sayed that he had to go home for lunch and entered his home who was in front of us.
I'll not share his address because I don't think it's right, but maybe a lot of you already know it.
It was a very nice experience! ;)

During my days in England I had the chance to visit some "Blur places" :P

Euston Station
Primrose Hill
Trafalgar Square
the Westway
Portobello Road
Threadneedle Street
HMV Oxford Street
The Crown
The Plough
Freuds
Dublin Castle
The Good Mixer
Groucho Club
Electric Ballroom
London Hilton on Park Lane
100 Club
Maida Vale BBC Studios
Honest Jon's
Hyde Park (obviously)

I also visited the Unofficial Banksy Store in Portobello Road, and the "wrong" Rough Trade, in Talbot Road (not Rough Trade East).

Not sure about posting the pics of these places.

Great work their Jaime, getting around all those places. 8-)

Seeing where something actually happened does bring a reality to the fandom. The most striking thing is often the 'ordinariness' of the location.

When I went to see Blur in 2009 my hotel was a couple of streets away from Emperors Gate. (damon's parents lives here for a while...next door to John Lennon). I took a stroll around there obviously
