I never thought I'd have the opportunity to make this thread, but the new Spiritualized album And Nothing Hurt is definitely worth talking about. The music is hauntingly beautiful in a way that Jason Pierce hasn't quite been able to pull off since Ladies and Gentlemen We Are Floating in Space over 20 years ago.
It's also rumoured to be the band's final studio effort, which is sad, but I'd rather J go out on this than something less consistent.

I never got in them - they always seemed to linger on the periphery of major success.
I don't doubt that the current album is good.

I'm listening to it and it hurts me to listen to a good work suffering from bad mixing. It's all messed, it's all loud and it tires me.

Oh sorry if I was rude. I just think it's a bit too loud, all instruments sound like they have same volume level. I think saturated is the word. Maybe it's the way they wanted it to sound.

No, fair enough if you think the sound mix is wrong.
Though from what little I recall of Spiritualized, they could indeed be a bit overblown.
