The rock and roll legend just passed away. Devastated. RIP Chuck.

Rock and Roll has truly died this evening. God bless you Chuck and thanks for starting it all. X

:'( Remember hearing he was working on that comeback album. It'll be interesting to see how far finished it was.

R.I.P. Chuck :(

I was about to post this. I'm definitely at a loss of words. To me, Berry was the Co-King of Rock w/Buddy Holly. Berry influenced too many to count! We just lost a major legend folks! RIP......

The world has lost a musical icon the likes of which will never be seen again. My thoughts on the passing of Chuck Berry.

Excellent write-up..... You definitely deeply conveyed my exact sentiments! The British Invasion and anything else post-1955 in music wouldn't have happened if it wasn't either for Chuck and/or Buddy Holly!

I probably shouldn't say this, but I thought he was already dead.

Yes, the 'modern era' of UK music really began in 1955 with rock n roll, as opposed to 1962 (with The Beatles - albeit they took it to another level entirely).

Chuck Berry was part of that early period.

R.I.P. Chuck Berry.
