The Blossoms album - any good?

Post by Neal Zeal » 11 Dec 2016, 21:01

Thought I would mention a band round here which has members aged under 50!
Has anyone got the album?
I've heard a couple of singles which I thought were kind of OK - 7/10s, really.
Be interested to hear from anyone who's heard more...

Saw them at Glastonbury this year. Really good and I'm liking their album too. They've sold out the the O2 in Oxford, so I can't get to see them upclose . Worth a listen on Spotify or other streaming sites.

I'll be honest, when I saw the title of this thread I thought someone had asked about the 50's/60's girl group featuring Darlene Love. I got so excited...but then I opened the thread and it was about a completely different band with a nicked name.

I don't know them, but I love the original Blossoms:

Yeah I would say they were OK as well, not amazing but not bad either.

Thanks for the responses. May take a punt if I hear another half decent single on the radio.
Guess they are lucky to be around when there's not much going on in the indie music scene.
They'd probably be a Menswear-esque also-ran had they surfaced in the mid 90s!

I'm seeing them open for Stone Roses but I dunno anything by them. My sister loves them, and Jay hates them. What do.
