I've bought the new album by 'money' called 'suicide songs' seriously suggest we all give this a go. For a young band and a second album it's really really good. Just my humble opinion but switch into this guys x

This easily is within my top-10 albums released within the past 20-years! Hard to believe it came out in '99......Sounds so fresh today.. Gomez definitely at their finest!

I look forward to it then! :) I played it once before without really paying attention and I forgot what it was like, so it will be nice to rediscover.

"Bring It On" is their title of their debut album, but the song "Bring It On" is on "Liquid Skin" and that's how I was introduced to them.... And they recorded a song "High On Liquid Skin" which has been on their rarities compilation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UTo5_gOM1Wk&app=desktop" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I could obviously go on and on here (which I typically do)! :lol:

I'm just as familiar with Bring it On and In Our Gun (that is to say, I'm not that familiar with them at all). I haven't even heard their other albums, so I've got to listen to all their albums.

To be brutally honest, I haven't liked most of their last three albums.... They all sounded too commercial to me.... "Split the Difference" (their fourth album) I rank among their best.... However, they are a much better band live... problem is...they are all essentially touring solo now....

Today I bought Sasha and John Digweed's brilliant Renaissance: The Mix Collection in a charity shop for £1.99! (It normally goes for about £30 on eBay).

Not the first time this has happened. Their following mix album Northern Exposure can go for like £80, and I snapped that one up for £1.99 in a charity shop some years ago about five minutes after I thought about how much I wanted to find it cheap, which is, if not a miracle then the biggest coincidence to have ever happened to me.

But now I own Renaissance too, often called one of the best DJ mix albums of all time, and dance albums of all time in general, just like Northern Exposure is.

Recently picked up the Utah Saints album (1993) in Poundland for a pound.

It would have cost a good bit more than this at the time, which is possibly why I had to be prudent. And of course 'Modern Life Is Rubbish' was released as well, two weeks before :geek:

Poundland is worth a browse if you like your music in a physical format. You can pick up original albums that passed you by, or couldn't afford, at the time. :D
