Thank God For Girls

 The weakest song would be KotW imo and even that one would be a clear highlight on Hurlitude.

We didn't even finish with EWBAITE, did we? I think we got stuck in the final round with Ain't Got Nobody and British. British is better, btw.

I think I already love this album more than EWBAITE. I don't know if it's better but it's certainly a more enjoyable Weezer album imo, EWBAITE lacks that Weezery feel to it sometimes but TWA hits me hard on that aspect if that makes any sense. Fantano likes it a lot as well! (I actually like him better now that I know that he loved TGFG) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TJNRymZmcfY" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

No, Ain't Got Nobody is better

Let's do the White Survivour! I love TGFG, it just can't go away as the first one..

When is the album released? As a casual Weezer fan I'm interested in hearing it, especially after what you guys have said about it. :)

It won't be as good as Beverly Hills though. Their best song.

Last week  And Beverly Hills is one of the worst songs ever written. Do not start a war that you can't win, Tom.

Beverly Hills their best song?

Jeeeeeez

Anyway, here's Stylus Magazine's list "Top Ten Reasons Why "Beverly Hills" Isn’t The Worst Single of 2005". Funny read.

I still haven't checked out the "White Album".... I consider "Beverly Hills" better than "Pork and Beans". In terms of post-"Pinkerton" and pre-"White Album" I consider "Island in the Sun" their best song....

I don't mind Beverly Hills all that much. I actually agree that it's better than Pork & Beans :P

My favourite song from the period overall? Probably something from Maladroit, honestly.

Beverly Hills is awesome, why don't people like it? I remember watching the video on MTV when it came out and being blown away, went straight out and bought the CD single (which I still have). Great stuff!

EXPLAIN!

It's complete cheese, the lyrics are hypocritical, the vocal performance is frankly embarrassing...

The riff is awful and unimaginative, there's no melody at all in the verses (and hardly in the chorus), the lyrics are just a conglomeration of shitty clichés and Rivers' vocal delivery is as plain and boring as it gets. It could've been written by Nickelback or any other 00s post-grunge awful band, it doesn't even qualify as a song. As a whole BH is a big fuck you to everything Weezer were about in the 90s and it's still their most embarrassing moment imo. Raditude is shit but at least it's shit with a sense of melody.

Pork and Beans is really good though. The harmonies in the chorus are just lovely.

The "don't give a hoot" line makes me cringe a tiny bit. Nobody says that

The lyrics aren't that song's strong point, that's for sure  Anyway, their best post-Pinkerton pre-EWBAITE song is Pig and it's not even close.

Let's do a top 5 White songs while we're at it: L.A. Girlz, Jacked Up, DYWGH, Endless Bummer, Summer Elaine.

Yeah I'm the same with the hoot line, but the video is worse because it has dated tremendously bad. Can't say that for the likes of Buddy Holly.
