I'm going to see Xiu Xiu in October, they're performing the soundtrack to Twin Peaks! The event will also house a recreation of the Double R Diner :D

Some band called Blur. The rest of the line-up is quite dull as far as I'm concerned but you know, it's gonna be worth it just to see these four guys again. https://superbocksuperrock.pt/en/days/17-julho/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I will see them in October as well! Can't be exited enough :lol:

In June I'll also see The Libertines and in July The Horrors - quite a good year of festivals, all I can say :D There were also some rumors about Will Butler's (of Arcade Fire) concert in our city, I hope they will be true!

I listened to Fabulous Muscles yesterday. I think they're worthy to cover Twin Peaks :P

Absolutely agree! Their performances have David Lynch's seal of approval, so... I will have some pie with damn good coffee while listening to "Dear God, I Hate Myself" or something! :lol: Moscow gig will not feature Double R Diner though, which is a shame... But oh well - the music is enough!

Just got back from Elvis Costello in Bristol as part of the Detour Tour, the first time I've been to a self-picked concert in a long time. Very good. It was almost entirely him alone except for when the opening duo performed with him on a few tracks and he found time for both lesser known tracks and almost every hit.

I've only just recovered from a double dose of Hyde Park with both Beck and Blur this past weekend... and I'm heading back to London on Monday for another Beck show. He's performing at the Barbican with Thurston Moore. No idea what he's going to do or play, but I can't wait.

"Following recent projects, including electrifying performances with a full gospel choir and a live presentation, with special guests, of his album Song Reader – released only as sheet music - here he indulges his deepening interest in the relationship between words and music, performing soundscapes alongside readings by some of Britain’s most acclaimed poets.

Joined by special guests including Thurston Moore (Sonic Youth), the ensemble led by Beck will weave intricate music with readings by poets Simon Armitage, Paul Farley, Jemima Foxtrot, Lavinia Greenlaw, Don Paterson, Sam Riviere and Luke Wright – set to a backdrop of video projections by Doug Aitken.
"
I've been drifting along in the same stale old shoes
Loose ends tyin' a noose in the back of my mind...
