Sad fandom debate

So people don't want to listen to the live tracks in order for the album to be fresh? Ok. Well what if Blur played their only tour shows this year BEFORE the album is released, you wouldn't go? (Hypothetical of course, but still). Seems like a ridiculous position to me. I want to enjoy everything t...

Re: NEW ALBUM: The Magic Whip

I've only listened to the three officially released songs, and a short clip of 'Ice Cream Man' and that's it . I've not listened to the show or anything, firstly it doesn't appear to be on YouTube and I don't feel the need to watch it. I missed the original showing on purpose because I didn't want ...

Re: The Magic Whip Tour

I heard Sister Rust from Lucy on there as well as Go Out. Think also Electric Fences, Damon bside. It goes on and on. Not a bad collection of songs to be honest edit: Someone has left comment 1. Sister Rust (Damon Albarn track from the "Lucy" soundtrack) 2. Morricone (Think Tank b-side) 3. Go Out (...

Re: The Magic Whip Tour

Someone has a link up to the full album on YouTube except of course it's not really The Magic Whip. I don't really recognise any of the tracks on the hour long upload, can anyone shed some light as to what it is, apologies if you've all heard it before it's not familiar to me. http://youtu.be/E1TaLj...

Re: Lonesome Street

I love each of the 3 songs. Me too, a little worried for the 5 days thing, but now I'm impressed for such good quality and different style for every song. I'm so so so emotional, beacause, having discovered Blur only 2 years ago, for me it's like the first time to be so exicted for a release, and h...

Re: Lonesome Street

I really like all 3... I kind of long for the days when you bought an album and you had probably only heard the first single and the rest was all new. The more that get released before it's out the less of a surprise it will be. Just the nature of the times I suppose. Can't wait for the album thoug...

Re: Lonesome Street

Superb song. There are so many parts and layers. Gets better every listen. Could be a classic... It reminds me of the direction they were trying to get to on the William Orbit UTW demo from 2012. This album is going to be amazing. Hoping for a good commercial performance and a bit of limelight for ...

Re: Lonesome Street

This is completely different from the other two tracks and sounds more like typical blur from the early 90s brit pop period, could easily have come from the Modern Life Is Rubbish period around 1993, I really like it especially the part where Graham sings it's pretty psychedelic!  it sounds like Syd...

Sadly not. Us peasants have to wait until next Wednesday.
That's what I thought, oh well, I'm seeing TOY on Tuesday, Blossoms on Thursday so blur will fit nicely in on Wednesday albeit not live :D
