Re: RIP Keith Flint

A really sad day. I remember 'Charly' being released whilst I was at college and starting the whole 'Toytown Techno' scene - of course, nothing else came near it (apart from 'Summers Magic). 'Experience' was a huge part of my first year of University and it brings back so many memories every time I ...

Is Seven Days only available here?
There are two other versions of 7 Days; as mentioned, the Partridge version on '21' and another version on the 'Music is my Radar' single.

I seem to recall the vocal track for 'Far Out' is different on this demo and the one on 21. On one Alex says "Cass-e-oh-pea-ah", and on the other he says "Cass-e-oh-pie-ah".
You're right! I'm sorry. I jumped to conclusions when I heard the similar mix. Edited!
No problem, it's easily done!

Re: The Great Escape: APPRECIATION THREAD

He Thought of Cars and Best Days are absolutely gorgeous, both lyrically and musically. TGE is an album I never tire of listening to, and although 95/96 wasn't always a great time to be a Blur fan it's an album that brings back really fond memories for me.

Re: Worst live performance

I'm choosing to go for a full show rather than song. Blackburn, 30th November 2003 - TT tour: As has been mentioned Simon Tong's interpretation of the back catalogue just didn't stand up to Graham's at all - but I knew what to expect as I'd seen them earlier in the year. A lot of the audience were d...

Re: Req: Dublin, RDS, 1996 - Lossless

No problem mate :) I remember vividly recording this after England knocked Spain out of the Euros in 96, then going for a great night out afterwards! Nite Klub's a highlight for me; I once got to put a question to The Specials via a radio phone-in asking if they'd return the favour and have Damon on...

Here you go. I've only got a bog standard free Mega account so it may be slow/restricted. Apologies for the issues with 'To The End', I'd forgotten about those. https://mega.nz/#!Fs8GEQIJ!SPbOLv1B-Mx2rRwIWw83AeIk2LNh86H5lOSrTivBXkU" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I'm happy for this to...

Re: Req: Dublin, RDS, 1996 - Lossless

I've got this in FLAC level 8 quality from my own recording - lineage is FM broadcast -> Chrome VHS tape -> Audacity WAV -> FLAC. Dunno if it's as good as the others available but it's complete and I'm happy to share it. It may be a week or two before I can share it though :)

Re: Blur's Great Leap

I think this questions is more difficult than it first appears. The leap from Leisure to MLIR is undoubtedly huge, but the pointers to the change are there in the songs recorded between those which appears on those two albums. Most of the MLIR B-sides are from the rejected attempts at recording an a...

Re: Gig: Blackpool, 10 June

I can't add much that hasn't already been said. The negs: The barrier incident, which seemed to affect the show up until Trimm Trabb. It really felt at times during the first hour that they were rushing through to catch up on the time they'd lost. The last time I'd seen so little interaction with th...
