Re: The Magic Whip Reviews

I just find it strange that apart from one review(Q?) not a single one mentions anything negative. So in theory if the album is not getting full marks there must be something wrong with it, yet no-one seems to be mentioning any flaws.

Strange.

Re: Under the Westway Taboo

It is very much a b-side thing for me, it is quite disjointed and although parts of it does have some merit, I'm glad it wasn't released. The auto tune is horrendous as others have mentioned and it doesn't really capture the emotion of the song. That said, although I'm one of the people who really l...

Ah beat me to it Jaime.

My favourite Blur lyric since its release has always been.

"What do you owe me? The price of your peace of mind."

Re: The Magic Whip Tour

I hate the name "warm up dates", it suggests that Hyde Park will be the pinnacle which it won't be. Tour dates are the real shows, big festivals are bonus things. At least that's how I see it. Can't remember if it was with Zane Lowe but the band mentioned warm ups and they are proper gigs but it's ...

Re: How Blur finally got back in the studio - Rolling stone

Great article, it really does make you wonder if they might just do more albums. It seems such a refreshing way for them to work, maybe they could use the same method again. Anyway not important just now, just something else to read to build the interest in what I feel is going to be a fantastic pie...

Bone bag
Young and lovely
Peach

Some excellent B-sides which could have replaced album tracks to make an even stronger album.

As with The Great Escape, spot on!

Not a particularly strong album b-sides wise.

Re: The Magic Whip Reviews

I read the article, total none-event as expected. Graham talking about the recording process and nothing new really being revealed.

Typical NME non-story.

Re: Lonesome Street

agreed. and we got the mode stream which was lovely… i'd much rather have that than a clip from the show of one song as a music video. with the mode and upcoming grand journal, we certainly won't be lacking vids of the band. as far as i'm concerned they don't have to put lots of time into their mus...

Rubi wrote:Think Tank, the other Blur album that splits fans apart. If you get past a couple of stinkers here and there, it's a brilliant album, in my opinion.

01. Out of Time
02. Ambulance
03. Caravan
04. Good Song
05. Sweet Song
Exactly the 5 I picked! :D
