Re: Atlanta 1994 and 1996

It's amazing to me that I was able to see the band in a fairly intimate setting twice. I am going to hopefully go to MSG (last time I was there was 1991 for Morrissey-and I had just graduated HS)--but I hate big venues like that.

I've got a friend who's been a Blur fan since the early 1990s and lives in the SC/GA area...I'd bet he went to one or both of these. I'll ask him!

Thank you that's very kind!!

Re: New Tele for Graham?

Do you find your 70s tele to be lighter than your newer one? I had a reissue custom tell and I eventually had to trade it coz it was breaking my back!

Re: Strongest/Catchiest Melody of the Magic Whip?

The vocal melody in New World Towers is another that is positively infectious. I agree. On first listen of the record, that vocal melody stayed with me for a long time. Ong Ong is an earworm as well. I think My Terracotta Heart has one of the strongest melodies on the record--not only the vocal mel...

Re: Atlanta 1994 and 1996

I just converted my old radio ID drops and whatever bits I could save from the radio cart with the Graham Coxon interview---I'm gonna have them digitized soon. SHould I put them up here? Can I? Not sure, I suppose I'd have to put it on soundcloud or something....

Re: Atlanta 1994 and 1996

Sounds awesome! Love stories like these. I'm hoping the band will come to Atlanta again, as they've had quite a long history with the city. Damon performed at the Fox Theatre last year, I wonder if Blur would perform there this year! Anyways, glad to have you here :D I suspect they won't play anymo...

Re: Atlanta 1994 and 1996

Hi! Thanks everyone! They ARE good memories--I feel very fortunate to have had nice interactions with people I consider to be really talented. Just because you admire someone's talent doesn't always mean you're gonna like them, right? Graham Coxon was a very nice man and I appreciated his kindness t...

Re: Atlanta 1994 and 1996

Oh--and Jamie--the person I interviewed from Pulp was Nick. I think he was the drummer? Anyway, I just found my radio cart with all my old drops and that's what it says! I don't have the interview anymore, but I am trying to get all my drops digitized!

Re: Atlanta 1994 and 1996

Hi! Yes, i do remember seeing Pulp! I think that I interviewed one of them as well back in my radio days, but forgive me--I can't remember which member. It might have been the drummer. I did speak to a couple of them as well and they were very nice too. I remember being impressed with them live--I w...

Atlanta 1994 and 1996

Hi, I am new to the forum but wanted to share a bit of Blur memorabilia and also ask everybody a question... First off, I've posted the set list from Atlanta 1994--I noticed it was missing from the gigography and knew that I had a copy, so here it is. I was supposed to see Blur on the MLIR tour in N...
