Re: B-Roads

In great Blur management fashion, they'll quietly release this via some redundant medium... vimeo sounds shit... and no real major publications will give a shit.

Re: DARE

Nah even the dn-tch-dn-tch songs like Adromeda aren't that fast, if anything their tracks are more draggy.

They should play the Soulchild version of 19-2000 anyway when they do it live. Would pop.

Re: Is The Great Escape the worst Blur album?

I think it's probably the hardest Blur album to listen to in its entirety. aye I think this is it for me too. Very saccharine and cheesy and bombastic but there's also just some shit songs on there. I also think of it as having multiple attempts on the same thing. Some albums aren't very good in th...

Jesus, five years? fuck me. It's an unseasonably bright, warm winter day here in Australia so I'll have to acquire a few cans, sit in a park, and have a reminisce.

I read that B-Roads includes a live and open air performance of Best Days. They played it at the beacshside at an old pier theater. Does anybody know at which town it was?
Eastbourne, so says the article above.

Re: B-Roads

Does this mean we can finally stop talking about it leaking now? no? If anything, it's energised the discussion. I don't get why some people are so hostile toward those who want to talk about it. It'll come out one day, Damon's clearly aware of it, but he's also a complete scatterbrain and ju...

Yeah I just saw this – it seems to say the movie is actually called The Great Escape?

How did the name B-Roads come up?

Re: Damon Albarn - The Nearer the Fountain, More Pure the Stream Flows

That third last piece, or the last proper song, was absolutely peak Albarn. One of those songs that you can tell just from the first few seconds of sound, that it'll be one of his shining moments. Really reaching and from the heart cavity, that one. Reminded me really heavily of Demon Days' more per...

So does anyone know if that, frankly pretty spectacular, house he's posed near is his one in Iceland?

Looks like they're going to overlay some of the vibey photos he took in Iceland.

Well in for this, should be great.

Blur t-shirts (preferably vintage)

Gidday, chasing a few of the classic old Blur t-shirts. They're pretty much prohibitively expensive, like a hundred quid, which is just a bit piss takey. Maybe it's a bit cheeky, but I'm wondering if anyone here has any laying around in a medium that they'd be willing to sell for 60-ish quid? Open t...

Re: RIP Tony Allen

Definitely not shocked, he smoked hash every day and was 80 years old and looked it but definitely didn't drum like it. What a cool life, imagine what he saw, where he drank, and those he passed and those he befriended.

Re: Lyrics for "Hope You Find Your Suburb"?

Just recently been giving the old demos and b-sides a go and man, is this thing is so good. So sweet. A classic sort of Blurist Albarn soon. All about the people you know exist but only really meet in wordless passing. Love how the music just sort of sounds like the last dance at a school ball, the ...
