Re: Babies Go Blur....

It reminds me of, and I suspect is heavily 'influenced' by, Rockabye Baby:

That was indeed a magical performance. But what made me realize what a classic Tender is, was this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SVmffdNYi-A
I've not seen that before. That's really cool! Were you there?

I never understood Tender properly until I witnessed this:

The most magical moment of any performance I've witnessed. Still brings me goosebumps just thinking about it!

Re: Blur fan first and foremost or Damon Albarn fan?

I've been a Blur fan since 94, so Blur first for me. I thought Everyday Robots was dull, and I'm not into Gorillaz (who put on the most boring Glasto headline show I've ever seen - a year after Blur did one of the best). I would echo Vitekm's comments above about Graham Coxon. I saw him solo at the ...

Oh the worst one for me is leisure for sure. It's so bad most fans dismiss it all together
Second worse for me! Sing and Repetition are both fantastic, and lift it above Think Tank imo. Slow Down and There's No Other Way aren't bad.

Re: Is The Great Escape the worst Blur album?

Not for me. I loved TGE when it was first released, grew to despise it as I grew older, but have come to love it again. Yes there are some sloppy moments (Mr Robinson's Quango, Topman) and some of the lyrics and themes are a little outdated, but it's an enjoyable listen. Best Days is stunning. He Th...

Re: Blur on TFI Friday special on 12th June

I tuned in late and spent over an hour waiting for Blur to come on... Never mind!

I really enjoyed the show. Very nostalgic. Though I thought the Liam and Roger Daltry bit was awful.

Re: Concert - Hyde Park

I feel exactly the same. I live in London (zone 4). I'm put off by price, which is £90!

This obviously includes a £5 "convenience fee". WTF?!

Also, yes, line-up is awful.
