Re: Graham in the studio with Duran Duran...

I've been a fan since 82. I like Rio better than Seven. Hold Back The Rain, Stairway, Nightmare are all awesome.

Re: Two mixes of Maggie May?

Talking of mix differences, I only recently noticed how different the orchestral parts were on To The End (album version) and its counterpart with Françoise Hardy singing. Not only the ending of the song: the orchestration on the latter is muuuuuch richer, a whole orchestra playing, whereas the for...

Re: Two mixes of Maggie May?

Huh. I didn't notice the 1992 mix then, I thought it was the same song. I thought the 93 version sounded a little sparse. Which version is on the Special Collectors Edition?

Re: New release: Live at the BBC

Nah this is classic shit marketing and a disappointing way to find out about something cool: it's legitimate. Every Damon Albarn project has some strange mandate where his promotional companies seem embarrassed to big up anything. This'll be announced through a press release like it's 1991. The art...

Re: New release: Live at the BBC

Re: New release: Live at the BBC

This looks like a bootleg. First, why this? Second, nothing about it on the official channels. Third, no artwork.

Re: Blur Live albums

Sawdust Seizures (bits of Glasto 94) was really clear. The commercially pressed boots of the 90's were mostly good.

Re: Battle of Britpop: Stereotypes vs Roll With It

I'm not too fond of RWI. It's OK, but in this battle I think the public would have went with it. The fact Stereotypes was released 3rd says it's not that strong of a single.

According to Alex, Girls & Boys premiered at a festival in Sweden, summer 1993, supposedly Fest #1?
This would be great to hear!
